Learning how to step back and critique my art has significantly improved both the quality of my work and my ability to discuss it with others. Cultivating this skill is something I’ve become very passionate about over the years—so much so that I decided to write a book about it.
An Artist’s Guide to Evaluating Composition discusses the effects different design choices have on composition and includes possible questions to ask yourself as you assess your work throughout your creative process.
I’m so excited to announce that today is the day! An Artist’s Guide to Evaluating Composition is now available for purchase! To learn more and preview a few pages from the book, please visit my website.
In case you missed it…
Here is a Substack post I wrote about how critiques have played a part in my art practice.
