When Grumbacher contacted me to see if I was interested in testing out their new Japanese Watercolors I jumped at the chance. These sets are not yet in stores, but will be available this summer. Today’s video is a sneak peek of three different palettes, as well as a few other goodies they sent me.
In the video I mentioned how I organize my acrylic pallet. You can find a link to that post at the end of this one.
These watercolors not only have a nice rich pigmentation, but I was also really excited to find that they come in a selection of warm and cool primaries, along with three secondary colors—my exact preference for color mixing.
Once I got to work mixing colors, the pallet didn’t stay clean and pristine for long. I’m a pretty tidy person, but when it comes to art supplies that all goes out the window. LOL!
You can follow along on Grumbacher’s Instagram feed where they will be posting artwork I create using their new watercolors, along with the work of other artists that have been invited to participate in this product launch.
